Updated: Sep 17, 2020

PeerLogix (OTC: LOGX) is the recognized leader in the global OTT data-as-a-service space. The company tracks viewership data of more than 50,000 premium TV shows and movies across more than 180 million households, worldwide.

PeerLogix's comprehensive library is virtually the only commercially available source of OTT viewership data on this scale and we package these data sets into unique products, both pre-constructed and customized, creating actionable value across an evolving and expanding set of use cases including, online audience targeting, OTT platform content acquisition and Entertainment industry investment.

Of all the imaginable ways to leverage our raw data, perhaps the most obvious is to review and rank viewership numbers of movies and TV shows across all streaming/OTT platforms.

To that end, we offer this look at comparative streamed viewership of titles for the week of 8/24/20-8/30/20.

This Week's Highlights:

- Avengers:Endgame increases weekly streaming numbers, gains on ‘Greyhound,' though Apple TV+'s Tom Hanks vehicle remains #1 streamed movie

- Frozen II sneaks back onto top 10 movie list, knocking Netflix’s ‘Extraction’ off for the first time since its release

- Season 5 of Netflix’s ‘Lucifer’ debuts as #1 on top TV list, bumping ‘Games of Thrones’ to #2 spot.

Note on our methodology:

PeerLogix’s unique methodology for the collection and cataloging of streamed content data has been granted a patent by the US government. Our data collection platform sits directly ‘in the stream,’ acting as a content distribution node for the virtually every open-source OTT network - cataloguing viewership data, including IP addresses of the streaming and downloading parties, production company, content title, media type, and genre/category of media watched.

To project a viewership that includes the top tier platforms, we then overlay a proprietary, and statistically proven formula for extrapolating the total streams/views across all platforms.

For purposes of this compilation exercise, we consider ‘ORIGINAL’ titles to be those only available via dedicated Streaming/OTT platforms and not via linear cable networks, while the ‘UNIFIED’ lists includes both ORIGINAL titles and those also available across linear cable networks.
